Shaylee is my little STAR!

I taught her most of her dance in a day, and she went home and practiced everyday for about 3 weeks! You should have seen this shy little girl blossom & then shock us all with her amazing facials and high energy! She was awesome! And it paid off...she won! Her mom, Jamie, was so proud! Way to go Shaylee!

Angela (Easterling) LaMagdelaine & I...she was one of our wonderful judges!
This is a funny story...
Angela was Kaylee's first grade teacher at Robson. One day, Kaylee had overheard Scott and I joking that he and Angela had "dated" in high school, and shared a little kiss. Kaylee went to school the next day and told everyone that her dad kissed her teacher! It was so funny!
Our three beautiful judges...
Angela LaMagdelaine, who is expecting by the way.
Debbie Lee, (old timer in Cinderella & runs Miss USA Arizona & Utah), and Kimberly Joiner, reigning Miss USA Arizona. They were so great!
Kaylee had to have her picture with Kimberly!
Kaylee had fun performing and hanging out with all of the girls!

And Kimberly let her wear her crown!!!!

Congratulations girls...you were awesome!
State meeting everyone...Tuesday, March 4th @ 6:30pm

Remember that Clean Garage I was bragging about???

Scott came home from work today just in time to hear a loud crash as he was getting out of his truck. He ran inside the house and this is what we found in the garage...only when we found it, it was full of white smoke! Our entire attic fell on our ping pong table, which is broken now by the way, can you believe it??? It's cracked all the way to the wall. The only thing holding up the rest is the garage door opener. Nice huh?

Just glad the kids weren't playing in there! Dangerous! Never even thought of something like that happening!!!

Extreme Home Makeover!

I'm posting these pictures in hopes that someone out there might get a kick out of them, because I am still having a hard time finding the humor in it!
I left to teach dance for a short time yesterday, Scott let Ethan play upstairs, (he's usually a pretty good boy), Ethan got hold of a permanent Sharpie marker, and did a little redecorating!
He started with this wonderful piece of art up the stairway...

Then, hit a few light switches...

Of course, he had to make finishing touches to the stairway banister

He even took the time to color in all of those little screws that were painted to match the wood

Then he headed for his room, where he started coloring things that we couldn't paint over...like his dresser!

Then he found all kinds of things in his room to color on...toys, books, the CARS table top...

He even brought things up from the kitchen and colored them in his room

We think he's going to be an artist!
One question...is there such thing as permanent Sharpie remover?!?

Happy Valentine's Day!

How's your special day going so far?
Mine all started off with this hilarious little package that Tiffany White brought me yesterday while I was teaching dance lessons. I crack up when I think of her pulling over on the side of the road to buy it! Thanks Tyf!

The rest of our holiday has gone like this...
Woke up early to curl Kaylee's hair for school, (took a whole hour!)
Sent the boys off to school with their Spiderman and CARS Valentine's!
(They were soooo excited!)
Skipped Gracie's dance lessons due to lack of sleep, went back to bed instead. Came home and listened to all of the kids fight all day about whose eating whose candy!
Made Valentine Heart, mini-cakes with the kids, and ate half of them!
Noah pooped ALL over the place, but mostly up his back...(I spared you the pictures!!!)
Scott came home to bring us lunch and brought me this cute little bouquet of flowers! (Thanks babe!) It's special because it has Tulips & Roses, both my favorite flowers:)
Forgot to call my brother for his birthday...which I will now do as soon as I finish this post!
TJ, my awesome STUD of a brother, is now 28!

Who else could pull off Wolverine?

He's also the bestest, awesomest uncle ever!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE TJ!

And tried to catch some cute pictures of the kids making their Valentine's last night, but whenever I turn my camera on, this is what they do...

From my CRAZY family to yours...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

It's the Small Stuff that Counts!

Today, as I was dropping off the preschool carpool, and feeling a little discouraged about all the many things I had left to accomplish today, and wondering if I was really accomplishing anything at all, Karen Udall came running out of her house to give me this beautiful little bouquet of flowers with a card that read, "You're Amazing! Thanks for all you do!" It was just what I needed to lift my spirits and re-energize me for the events in the weeks ahead.
And it reminded me how important the "small stuff", like taking the time to tell someone something nice, really is!
It made my day! Thanks Karen!!!

I'm Back!

So...this is pretty much how my life has been for the past two weeks!

She was pretty proud of herself. Thank goodness for washable markers!

Poor Noah! Gracie is always "playing" with him
So life has been really busy! I apologize for staying away. I haven't had time for one more thing, and mostly, I've been super sick!!! BUMMER! But, here's a quick look into our last couple of weeks...

Higher Ground Dance Studio Company Dancers performed at the Roadrunners game on Jan. 30th! They had a great time! Scott took the boys to an NFL Superbowl event, so Gracie & Noah came to the game with me!

Gracie had a great time!

The girls got to hang out in the locker room...they thought that was so cool!

Gracie wouldn't leave the mascot alone, she followed him all over the place!

Gracie has still been enjoying dance lessons...

This is her signature move...every time we tell her dance, this is what she does!
Last weekend we had fun with the fam...basketball night at the Stake Center!

Ryal kept standing on the red line, waiting for someone to throw him the ball...he totally wanted in the game!

Gracie played peek-a-boo all night on the stage

Monday night was Hale Family Night at my house...we celebrated Skyler & TJ's b-day's. Tressa made the best ice cream cake I've ever had!

I get to plan all of the parties in our ward as Activites Chairman, and Friday we had our Adult Valentine Party...it was a "10 Cow" Luau!

Holly was our "lei" girl

Hostess with the Mostess!
Lori Hamblin, our RS Pres., was kind enough to let us use her backyard...she was such a help to me in putting this all together! (thanks Lori!)

"Sweet Coconut" came and performed for us...totally awesome!

This is Scott doing the Hakka!

This is the time of year we are frantically ordering our costumes...the other day, costumes arrived for my 3-4 yr. old class, SO... I had my boys try them on to see how they looked! (don't worry, I don't usually let my kids wear my dancers clothes!)

They loved putting them on...even with the pink bows!
(Yep Missy, that's Ethan in Kara's costume!)

And Saturday, the boys had their last football game of the season!

Ethan, Zachary, Rylan & Ryal

They were so excited to get their trophies!

They LOVE football!
